After many decades in the business, Jamey Cheek (he/him) is now a New York City area based actor. Jamey has been seen on stages across the country in cities like Dallas, Seattle, and New York City. Some of his featured credits include Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd (Bedford on Stage, Dallas, TX), Man #2 in Closer Than Ever (WaterTower Theater, Dallas, TX), Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods (Renton Civic Theater, Seattle, WA), Count Carl Magnus in Little Night Music (Tacoma Little Theater, Tacoma, WA), Maurice in Disney's Beauty & The Beast (Edmonds Driftwood Players, Edmonds, WA), and Dr. Wendell Barnes in Boy (Fantastic Z Theater, Seattle, WA) to name a few. Jamey's also been a featured soloist with several professional choirs across the US include Seattle Men's Chorus and Turtle Creek Chorale. He is trained in Somatic Acting Technique for stage and screen and has various dance experience. Jamey studied voice with John Gillis and Lloyd Hanson.
